Congratulations to the Redemptorist Centre of Music on winning the best Local Band Award at the Limerick International Band Parade during the St Patrick’s weekend. This was the centre’s frst time to participate in the band parade, and in the St Patrick’s Day Parade, since it opened in September 2010. It currently has almost 300 members, mostly young people, who learn music on a variety of instruments. The aim of the centre is to make the joy of music learning and playing accessible to all; the Redemptorist Poor Campaign helps to fund those who otherwise might not be able to afford to attend.
